My husband's boss, Forest B., won the tickets to Monaco and gave them to us to use. It had always been a dream of mine to see Monaco ever since I saw "To Catch A Thief".
Eric and I had been to other parts of France, but had never made it to the Riviera. It was as beautiful as we had dreamed it to be. Monaco is extraordinarily clean and well kept, as if you were in an amusement park and not a real place. We remarked over and over how the village around the palace reminded us of Disneyland. We actually even knocked on some of the facades of buildings to make sure they were real!
The people were very nice and accommodating of my limited French. The food was absolutely some of the best cuisine we've ever tasted. Monaco is a very glamorous place and the people, cars, yachts and shops reflect that. One of our favorite things to do was to sit down at a cafe with a cup of tea and watch the people stroll by. We love the slow French lifestyle and think we could learn a lot from them! We loved everything about Monaco. It was beautiful and romantic and we felt very safe, even walking about late at night.
We would very much love to go again!
